South Shore Charter School is a tuition-free public charter school serving students in elementary school (K to 5th grade) and beyond. We will add one grade each year and will ultimately serve grades K through 12. There is no cost to apply to or attend South Shore Charter School.

South Shore Charter School’s mission is to cultivate in our students the tenacity, integrity, and curiosity needed to become innovative and socially responsible leaders, ready to face and solve the ever-changing challenges facing our society.
Our scholars have a longer school day and a longer school year. This will ensure that they get the most out of their education to prepare them for future success. Our regular school day starts at 7:45am and ends at 4:00pm. We offer 185 days of instruction each year. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in After School and Saturday Academy programs.
South Shore Charter School scholars will acquire the building blocks for health, wellness, and balance through a supportive environment that stimulates and promotes ethical, social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. Students engage in 30-minutes of social emotional learning each day during morning meeting.
South Shore Charter School scholars receives 165-minutes of ELA and 90-minutes of math on a daily basis. This allows us to establish a strong academic foundation for future success.
